The Bigfoot, also known simply as Bigfoot is a tier 15 Forest animal in Mope.io. It is the equivalent of the T-REX, Dragon, The Yeti, The Snowman, The Snowgirl, Phoenix, Kraken, King Crab and Pterodactyl, and was released in-game on March 3, 2020.

Technical

  • Upgrades from the Elephant, Cassowary, Blue Whale, Mammoth, Blackwidow Spider, or Giant Spider at 1M XP.
  • Upgrades to the Dino Monster, Land Monster, Sea Monster, Ice Monster or Giant Scorpion at 5M XP.
  • It can only be bought in the Store for 25,000 mopecoins. As of December 31, 2020, after buying The Bigfoot from the shop, it still has a 1/10 rarity, just like the The Snowman and The Snowgirl. However, there is a 1/1000 (0.1%) chance that the player can get it by luck as an option on the Upgrade Menu.
  • The Bigfoot can consume all food sources in the game, with the exception of the berry, date and Cactus Pear.
  • Prey of The Bigfoot includes all animals within the range of tier 14 to tier 6 (Elephant to Fox).
  • Predators of The Bigfoot includes all animals within the range of tiers 16 to 17 (Dino Monster to Black Dragon).
  • The Special Ability of The Bigfoot has two different effects, depending on whether the W key is pressed or held;
    • "Throw Spear": by pressing W once, The Bigfoot will throw the spear that it carries in its right arm, and if the spear touches another animal that is at least at tier 6 or above, the speared animal will receive slight knockback, and bleeding which will reduce its Health Bar.
    • "Campfire": by holding W, the Bigfoot can create a fire that appears on top of a bundle of firewood. The campfire is a solid, impenetrable object that burns any animal that touches it. Animals cannot dive underneath the campfire if the campfire has been created on top of a water source.
  • The Passive Abilities of The Bigfoot includes Climbing on trees and hills. It will also randomly and uncontrollably say "OOGA BOOGA!", "OOGA" or "BOOGA" in the chat.
  • The Bigfoot can use all types of Hiding Spots, with the exception of small hiding holes.
  • It has a kill bounty of 500 mopecoins; any player that kills it will automatically receive 500 mopecoins if they are logged-in to their account.

The Classic BigFoot skin has a brownish hairy body with two fur-covered arms. It possesses a human-like head structure with a beard the same color as its face. It appears to have eyebrows and a furry chin.

Strategy

  • The Bigfoot is a rare animal, meaning there is never a sure chance that the player will be able to receive it. The best chance that the player has is from purchasing it from the Store for 25000 coins, causing its rarity to decrease to 1/10 rather than 1/1000.
    • There is a slim (1/1000) chance that the player will receive The Bigfoot upon upgrading to tier 15 without having to buy it, but the player should not count on this occurring.
  • As The Bigfoot, the player should primarily level up by killing prey and other apexes, the latter of which can be done either through The Bigfoot's Special Abilities or in the 1v1 arena.
    • If either a fellow apex or prey of The Bigfoot enters a hiding hole, the player should use the "Campfire" ability by holding W, which allows it to create an small but impenetrable firewood-fueled fire site, and will forcefully eject any player that is inside a hiding hole. It can also block prey or predators.
    • Against prey, the player's "Throw Spear" ability will be handy in damaging prey and preventing them from using their Special Ability in some cases.
      • The Elephant in particular is large, so it will be easy to hit with a spear. The player will need to avoid its "Trunk Hit" ability, which can stun the player and potentially cause them to throw the spear in the wrong direction.
      • Most other prey of The Bigfoot in the Land biome is small, and thus not as easy to spear. However, The Bigfoot's ability to climb on both trees and hills can be advantageous when chasing prey; the player can use the hill/tree's extra FoV to aim better.
    • Against other tier 15 animals, the player's "Throw Spear" ability will be their greatest asset. It can inflict a lot of damage and poses quite a threat to some weaker apexes.
      • The Yeti, The Snowman and the Dragon have much less powerful abilities and as such can be overpowered by The Bigfoot if the player uses the spear against them periodically. However, all of the other apexes are a little harder to beat.
      • Against a T-REX, King Crab, Kraken, Snowgirl and Phoenix, the player will need to employ a "hit-and-run" strategy; from a distance throw a spear at their opponent, continuing this until the opponent is weakened to the point that the player can kill it either from biting its tail or by using the spear on it one last time.
    • The Pterodactyl is a trickier opponent, as its "Dive Attack" ability is similar to The Bigfoot's own in that it can damage animals without risking its own health. To combat a Pterodactyl, the player should hide underneath the canopy of a tree when the Pterodactyl is flying, and spear it when it is on the ground to try and reduce its Energy bar.
  • The Bigfoot's abilities of "Throw Spear" and "Campfire" are both good defences against predators. The "Campfire" ability can be useful in blocking and stalling a predator, though using a spear will probably be better as a first resort.
    • The player should be sure to know the terrain capabilities of predators that are chasing them. For instance, against a Land Monster or Black Dragon/King Dragon, the player can hide underneath a tree canopy to prevent them from being able to harm the player.
    • Against all tier 16 predators except for the Land Monster, the player can climb a tree to hide from them.
  • Biome-wise, the BigFoot should avoid the Arctic and Desert due to debuff in the form of freezing and burning, respectively, and the Ocean due to being slow in water. The best biome for the player to exist in is either the Forest or Land.
    • The Bigfoot thrives in the Forest biome due to being able to climb trees, which are abundant in the Forest. However, the Forest usually has less players than the Land biome, so it is mainly useful for escaping predators that cannot Fly over everything (Land Monster, Black Dragon, etc.).
