Environmental Tornadoes were naturally-spawning disasters, that ranged from uncommon to very rare for each of their variants that appear in all biomes.

Overview[]

  • Most variants of tornadoes will suck up any animal from tier 1 to tier 11 (Mouse-Crocodile tier).
    • Exception to this is the Devil Twister, which can suck up animals from tiers 1-16 (Mouse to Monster tier).
    • After having been inside the tornado for approximately eight seconds, an animal will be expelled from it, being thrown a distance away from the tornado and suddenly increasing in speed and coming to a standstill a few seconds later.
  • Whilst inside a tornado, no animals can damage prey. However, predators are still subject to tail-bites.
  • They can also store food, duplicating them after a few seconds of the food/resource being in there. However, after being thrown out of the tornado, the food will shortly after disappear.
  • When diving, animals can escape tornadoes of their own accord, but when flying via Special Abilities, they will still be stuck inside the tornado.
  • Tornadoes that are fire-based will burn animals while they are inside.
  • Tornadoes in the desert are especially dangerous since they often contain cactus that will damage or even kill a player while trapped inside.
  • Tornadoes are capable of moving Phoenix's fire tornadoes, messing up their tracking AI and causing them to hover in place.

Tornado types[]

Tornado[]

These usually will spawn on land they commonly drag food in and out including beehives and mushroom bushes.

Fire Devil[]

These will spawn in the lava or when a normal tornado enters lava. Unlike regular tornadoes, they will additionally burn any animal that enters it or make contact with and will spit out fire balls from time to time.

Water Spout[]

The aquatic variant of the tornado; it spawns in sea or if a another kind of tornado enters the ocean. Water Spouts act the same as regular tornadoes, but can drag ocean food sources onto land, and also may move to dry-ground.

Dust Devil[]

The Dust Devil is simply like a regular tornado, but spawns in the Desert and has a different color.

Arctic Whirl[]

Arctic Variant of the tornado will spawn in the arctic and acts like the normal tornado, and like the Dust Devil and Water Spout has only one difference; its color.

Devil Twister[]

The devil twister is the rarest tornado out of all types. It is two times bigger than a normal tornado, and can drag in tiers up to Monsters and it will last longer than others. The Devil Twister can also pull in over three animals at the same time and will keep them longer than normal tornadoes.

Fire Tornadoes, also known as Fire WhirlFirenado, Fire Swirl or Fire Twister are created from a Phoenix using its special ability.

Technical[]

  • Fire Tornadoes move around, and using the crosshair from the ability of a Phoenix, they will lock onto any predator or prey of the Phoenix.
  • They randomly shoot fire at the animal to which they are locked onto. However, if a fire tornado gets too far from the Phoenix or if the target upgrades, it will slowly return to it regardless of the target's status.
  • They have a Health Bar, which decreases gradually when the tornado comes into contact with pure water or instantly by a certain margin when touching Water Drops.
  • Fire Tornadoes can be damaged by other players with attack abilities. (e.g. Wave).

Based on[]

  • Fire tornadoes are based on Fire whirls
    • Fire tornadoes do exist in real life, but they mostly likely to be created on firey areas with a great amount of smoke.

Appearance[]

Fire tornadoes are simply two orange circles, with the one at the top having an extra, dark orange layer. Fire tornadoes also spin around, giving it the appearance of a tornado. The appearance of the Fire Tornado varies depending on the skin of the Phoenix who shot it.

Trivia[]

  • It's much faster to destroy a Phoenix's Fire Tornado by spitting at it than waiting it out over water.
  • Fire Tornadoes used to spawn from lava and harm players, but no longer do.
  • Fire tornadoes are the only terrain that can harm animals other than the devil twister.

Electro tornadoes are created from a Bird Monster at the end of its secondary special ability.

Technical[]

  • Electric tornadoes hone in on the closest player and otherwise roam aimlessly.
  • They fire small electric bolts in random directions frequently (more so than fireballs from a Phoenix's tornado). Any animals hit are damaged and say "ZZZZZZ!" in the chat.
  • Electric tornadoes will gradually lose health and presumably despawn if it goes down to zero, although they naturally despawn a couple minutes after spawned before this can occur.

Appearance[]

Electro tornadoes are the size of environmental tornadoes and very similar in look except they are light gray. They are layered darker towards the center with distinct radial lines. Around the edges, rocks and branches can be seen being absorbed into the vortex.
