Pull From Hole works on all animals within the range of tier 2 to tier 11 (Arctic Hare to Polar Bear). - The Arctic Fox has no Passive Abilities.
Appearance
Arctic Fox
The Arctic Fox has a white, circular, furry body. Its ears branch north-east, and are tipped with extra fur. The Arctic Fox also has a narrow snout that's also quite furry. Its tail is a darker shade of white, and also very fluffy. In short, it looks like its Land counterpart, the Fox, except with a white body.
Gold Trim
The Gold Trim Arctic Fox is fundamentally similar, but looks spectacularly different from the normal skin. The head is larger and so are its eyes. Each eye has a blue triangle curving upwards above it. Its snout is lined with gold which has pale blue ice frozen over it along the flanks. The gold trim Arctic Fox has different, more rounded ears which point upwards with light yellow fur inside. It has a golden ruff and a gray body. Its golden tail is cone shaped with ice and white on the tip.
Ice Fox
The Ice Fox is light blue, with noticeable more fur. Its nose is more gray, and its tail is spikier with a dark outline.
Forest Spirit Fox
The Forest Spirit Fox is india green with a lighter head. It has darker green grass behind its head, and chartreuse inner ears. It is spotted with tiny circles in some areas. Its nose is black and heart shaped. It has a yellow-green patch on its head. Yellow flowers dot its head and back. Its back has additional pink flowers. The eyes have dark green highlights, but the actual pupil is light green. 3 green fairies fly up from the Animal, and its bushy tail ends with a yellow tip.
Old/Legacy
The Legacy Arctic Fox has a white circular body, but unlike its current counterpart, has no fur. It has two darker-gray circular ears that are placed above the Legacy Arctic Fox's black eyes with a white pupil. The snout of the Legacy Arctic Fox is also triangular, and at the tip has a black button nose. Also, its tail is small and a semi-oval.
Strategy
- The most productive way of leveling up with the Arctic Fox is by eating Red mushrooms at an Arctic lake. They can be found in large numbers at lake islands, along with Pears.
- Be careful when farming at lakes, as Arctic predators such as the Walrus, which has Faster Movement in Water, could kill the player.
- If the player farms food, they should not have to worry about predators, as their time at this tier will be relatively quick. However, against predators, the player should use their Pull From Hole ability defensively.
- When facing predators under tier 12, the player can stun predators that are inside a Hiding Hole with the player by pressing
W
. Then, the player can take the opportunity to flee and gain some space from them.- The Arctic Fox has the advantage of being somewhat small when it first upgrades, but grows larger when it gets closer to the next tier. Squeezing through multiple hills to escape non-hill-climbers will help the player maintain safety.
- Avoid ice patches at all cost. The Arctic Fox does not have the Passive Ability of Grip on Ice, meaning it will be clumsy and vulnerable on ice patches. Not only this, but all Arctic Fox predators other than the Snowy Owl do have Grip on Ice, so they will have an extreme advantage on that terrain.
- If the player chooses to kill prey in order to proceed to the next tier, they should use the Pull From Hole ability offensively. Reindeer, Seals and Penguins are all good options, but as previously mentioned should be led away from ice patches, as all aforementioned animals have Grip on Ice while the Arctic Fox does not.
